Since today’s the Independence Day in Poland, a little tribute to my country.
The photo below was taken on Jul 4th 2010 in Ballsbridge, D4. This gentleman is an employee of the Polish embassy in Dublin and serves as a road sign for Polish citizens heading to vote in presidential elections. Elections did not take place in embassy, since it’s impossible to let all the voters in (I don’t know the newest statistics regarding the number of Polish citizens living in Dublin, but I think it might be about 40k – here’s what the line looked like during elections in 2007, 4 hours of waiting), thus voting comitee was placed in one of the buildings of Royal Dublin Society instead. This relocation caused a lot of confusion, thus the little national manifest.
